The Nutrition Minor at CMU

Why minor in nutrition?

The Nutrition minor is an ideal minor to accompany CMU majors in Health Fitness, Public Health, Foodservice Administration, Sports Medicine, Child Development, and Psychology.    It has the advantage of providing a sound background in nutrition without having to take courses that stress clinical chemistry and dietetics.  (It is not available to dietetics majors)

Career opportunities in graduates with a minor in nutrition

A minor in nutrition is a great choice  for students who wish to enter the medical,  health and human services related professions.  It will strengthen the academic component of your coursework in these fields and would contribute to your being a more effective practitioner.
